Celeb Red Carpet Styles at Cannes Film Festival 2017

The Cannes Film Festival 2017 features the red carpet styles from your favourite A-list celebs, including Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Susan Sarandon, and more.

Elle Fanning in Vivienne Westwood

Elle Fanning kicked off the show with the premiere of new French drama Ismael’s Ghost, as she elegantly poses for the cameras in a stunning white gown with unique paintings all over the backside, designed by Vivienne Westwood.

At just 19 years old, Elle Fanning has quickly emerged from her sister Dakota Fanning’s shadow and grown up to be the beautiful young woman that we love watching on and off the screen. This year, she is a star to watch, with not one, but two films vying for the coveted Palme d’Or.

Elle Fanning keeps her face fresh with a black winged eye and bright, bold lip. Her makeup perfectly matches the pink and black accents on her gown. To finish off her look, Fanning has her blonde hair up in a tight, top knot bun, and with minimal accessories.

Nicole Kidman in Rodarte

Call her the Queen of Cannes because you will see her everywhere this year. 2017 has already been hugely successful for Nicole Kidman with her popular show Big Little Lies, and now her widely anticipated films being launched at Cannes Film Festival 2017. Kidman has an impressive four entries in the official selection, which include The Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Beguiled, How to Talk to Girls at Parties and Top of the Lake.

Nicole Kidman is seen wearing a dazzling Rodarte dress with a deep neckline and cute frills, to the premiere of How to Talk to Girls at Parties.

Susan Sarandon in Gentle Monster Sunglasses

Longtime Hollywood veteran Susan Sarandon steals the show with her custom-made emerald green velvet gown by Alberta Ferretti. It’s hard to believe that she is already 70 years old when she looks young as ever. Although Sarandon is not in any Cannes films this year, the festival would not be the same without her walking down the red carpet.

Bella Hadid in Alexander Vauthier

Supermodel Bella Hadid attended the premiere in a high-slit, light pink Alexandre Vauthier sweetheart-neck gown. Her popularity has grown throughout the past few years, with her and her sister Gigi Hadid taking the fashion world by storm. Although Bella Hadid had another wardrobe malfunction on this year’s red carpet, she manages to not let it phase her.

Hadid paired her dress with a giant sapphire pendant and a soft wave hairstyle, for a feminine look.

Julianne Moore in Givenchy

Julianne Moore, another Cannes favorite, stars in the feature film Wonderstruck, an anticipated film that is up for the Palme d’Or. Despite being 56, Moore radiates beauty and youthfulness.

To the premiere, Julianne Moore wore a custom-made Givenchy Haute Couture dress in fiery red with beautiful detailing.

Uma Thurman in Atelier Versace

One of our favourite looks from this year is Uma Thurman, in her soft pink dress. Known for her diverse roles in some classic movies, Thurman never fails to impress. She is simply a goddess.

Rihanna wearing Unique Sunglasses

Rihanna always knows how to stand out from the crowd. Her Dior wedding styled dress and matching white framed sunglass certainly makes Rihanna’s red carpet look one of the most unique at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen

Last but not least, we can’t forget about Academy Award nominee and golden globe winner Jessica Chastain. She is wearing an Alexander McQueen black velvet and chiffon satin-stitch medieval embroidery bustier dress. The intricate detailing of Chastain’s dress matches her simple hairstyle with her bright lip.

Jessica Chastain will be part of this year’s Cannes Film Festival 2017 judging panel from the Feature Films category, with the important decision of deciding which film is most worthy of the Palme d’Or.
