“This is a sustainable revolution, and it is coming anyway, with or without us!” These are the words used by Stella McCartney on the occasion of a Green evening in Paris to help sustainability in fashion.

And we want to be a part of this new fashion movement to make the planet green again by dressing sensationally sustainable. Always thought eco-friendly clothes were a bit ‘meh’ or didn’t quite tickle your fancy? Well, we have a fun fact for you (if you’re willing to hear us out): sustainable clothes are durable and suitable for many seasons. They’re often made from high-quality fabrics such as linen, organic wool, bamboo, silk and many more. Besides, what sets sustainable clothing apart from fast fashion is that it’s both planet-friendly and worker-friendly. What’s better than that?

So, if you haven’t planned a sustainable shopping day yet, it might be a good time to do so now. Call your ladies and start shopping like there’s no tomorrow on this Earth Day!

Hold on – before you go we have the must-have accessory that will make you a flawless green-fashion crusader giving you that sassy look. We’re talking about our Oh My Woodness! Sunnies, of course! These frames are made from sustainably sourced wood and bamboo, whilst also reflecting the fast paced fascination of modern fashion. Every pair is a statement in style. Most importantly, every item purchased from the OhMyWoodness! collection helps plant life by saving trees in Haiti, Madagascar or Nepal.

We’ve put together some ideas and tips for your eco-shopping.

Faux Fur Jackets

Given the number of runways that were awash in furry accouterments, it looks like faux fur jackets and coats will be a staple for the next season as well. With Gucci announcing a no fur policy for 2018, we suggest this great piece of clothing to snuggle up in your cozy coat. You can match it with casual clothes like a shirt dress a pair of flat boots to keep it more simple. credit: Forever21

Elegant in Silk Dresses

Several women’s brands want to prove that it is possible to scale a fair trade, fashion-forward brand while making an impact for good on people and the planet. This is why we can find eco-friendly dresses with impeccable designs. Silk has always been synonymous with elegance and enchantment, and you can be sure to rock the scene in one of these. To add on to your sartorial flair – if a long black dress is too traditional for you, you can also opt for sustainable pieces enhanced by handmade processes such as embroidering and screen printing. credit: Raven&Lily

Water-less Jeans

It’s time to revisit one of the most iconic items ever – a pair of 501® Levi’s jeans. The brand worked with third-party organisations to understand every possible impact our jeans could have – finding out that more than 3,000 liters of water are used during the full product cycle of a single pair. By changing the production process, Levi’s has now reduced water consumption up to 94%, adding different products to their collection. Earth Day is the perfect time to get rid of that old and overused pair of faded blue jeans and buy a new one for a good cause.

Adidas sneakers

Since VisionDirect is about to launch the new Adidas collection, we couldn’t think of a better eco-friendly product than this mind-blowing pair of sneakers. Made from recycled ocean plastic, this pair has sold like hot cakes in the last week claiming to be the most comfortable running shoes. By 2020, Adidas wants all of their shoes to be made using recycled plastic, but you can already get your pair now 😉

Last but not least..

Did you know that you can also say ‘I Do’ in a sustainable dress? If you fancy something different on your special day, a sustainable wedding dress is the answer. Eco-friendly silk and delicate laces, modern touches, detailed embroidery, and natural colours. Taking a look at these wonderful images below will be enough to make you fall for an eco-friendly wedding dress.

Many of our favourite celebrities have also chosen to go green and choose a different type of fashion. Leonardo DiCaprio is at the forefront of tackling environmental issues, whilst Emma Watson is the undiscussed queen of ethical fashion, agreeing that every single piece she wears on the red carpet would be sustainable.

Now it’s your time to make a positive impact on the world.

Dress Good, Feel Good.
