MaxMara FIFTIES

MaxMara is recognised worldwide for their practical and stylish outerwear pieces. Their new cat-eye MaxMara FIFTIES sunglasses are no exception.

Originally created as a tribute to Marilyn Monroe, the MaxMara F/W 2015 Eyewear Collection is reinventing history. Did you know that Marilyn often wore cat-eye frames when she was out of the limelight? The MaxMara FIFTIES were created in particular to combine both the historical symbolism of Marilyn’s favourite glasses with sharp, modern frame designs.

The MaxMara FIFTIES feature glossy acetate frames with a slender, vintage-inspired design. The temple tips are embellished by intricately placed, golden metal prisms in a way that resembles Marilyn’s own pair of cat-eye sunglasses.

MaxMara FIFTIES sunglasses are not only great for the sun, but they are also great for the shade. A cool fact about these versatile glasses is that you can easily pop out the sunglass lenses to wear the frames as eyeglasses as well. In fact, Jennifer Lopez was recently seen wearing MaxMara FIFTIES as eyeglasses at the “Rock The Kabash” Premier in New York.
